Easter Weekend Goodness

Hey Crayonettes! Did you all have lovely sunshine-filled Easter breaks? Just want to do a little post full of all the things I got up to this weekend :)

I got a lovely print in the post from the ever so talented Sandra Dieckmann - do check out her work.

I went to Clacton-On-Sea with the family on Easter Saturday, did British things like play Crazy Golf and watched mother nearly die of the cold in the North Sea. Verr funny. (she was fine.)

Then on Easter Sunday, we mainly just took advantage of the weather, and my mum's lovely garden:

 Me and le Brother.

 Bracken had fun too.

I also de-weeded my own garden, back in London, on the monday, so that it's now habitable:

And lastly, finished a little banner illustration for the lovely Helen Martin's blog:

Fellow Tea & Crayoners Fritha and Natasha also did a banner too, I'm sure they'll be posted up soon!

You can read more in depth about all my weekend exploits (and other interesting things!) over at my site - www.rachelsayshello.com

What did you all get up to? Eat lots of chocolate?? x

Tea & Crayons Collaborative Sketchbook

I don't know if any of our lovely crayonettes know yet, but us T&C ladies have a humble little sketchbook travelling the UK between our homes. I (Kayleigh) am the third to receive the sketchbook, and as I have been drawing in it this evening I thought it was time that I showed you some pics.

Here's a sneek peek of a page I've been working on, and below are snippets of pages by Rachel L and Fritha (contributors 2 and 1)

I was just writing on my personal blog about how I keep browsing through the sketchbook :) It looks so good so far, and I absolutely love looking through others' sketchbooks. I find it so inspiring, and I often like sketchbook work better than a final piece. It somehow feels more real, true - almost raw...

Anyway, that's our sketchbook so far and I can not wait to see it as it gets progressively thicker with work. I hope you like the snippets I've shown you this evening.

Hello Monday

Hi loves! Hope you’ve all had a good weekend! What've you all been up to?

I went down to Manchester and spent the day wandering round the northern quarter looking at crafty things, vintage shops and drinking tea - ideal way to spend a sunny saturday :)

I went to this craft centre called & Made was a fun place full of nifty hand made things. It’s also a working studio which was cool to see the artists working away as they sell things. I found it quite inspiring for our collective :) I would love to have a little studio one day

There was this huge set of drawers full of badges (almost as good as ours tehee)

Cute heart shaped decorations and things...

There's a couple more photies over at my blog
I'm gonna go dust off my sunglasses so i can enjoy the sunshine while it's here :)

PRETTIES I'M LOVING THE SUN RIGHT NOW

Hello lovely fellow crayons! Thought I'd pop in for a nice hot cup of tea, a chat and show you all a few pink illustrations that I have on my desk! I've been watching too many Drew Barrymore films of late (but then can you ever have enough!), running out of my favourite perfume Miss Dior Cherie and wishing I was in London on these glorious sunny days having a nosy round the beautiful V&A.

What are you lovelies up to? How have you been spending your days this sunshine filled weekend? I've been drawing in the garden and enjoying the odd barbeque! Lots of lovely things in the pipeline for Tea and Crayons, which we'll all share with you soon! Take care until then, have an ice lolly to cool down!

Drawing Gaga

Hello crayonettes! Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine as much as we are.

You might've heard about the competition for V Magazine to illustrate Ms GaGa herself. Abby and I both entered so I just wanted to share our efforts

It's always fun to take part :)

I Saw You

Morning! Its so sunny in ol blighty, all I can think is sandals, skirts without tights and iced tea in the sun! (or maybe ahem a larger beer).
Anyways I just thought I'd pop in to mention my 'I Saw You' project.
It is basically my little (just for fun) project (inspired by Venue magazine) is about depicting the moment you saw someone you really care about..it can be anyone even your pets! But I love to hear about those special moments when you see someone you just cant get out of your head :)
We have had a few Tea and Crayoners on there before and some other brilliant submissions. If you are interested in featuring then just email me (fritha - Tigerlilly Quinn - whatever you would like to call me) at frithastrickland at hotmail dot com.

And have a lovely Saturday! xoxox0
