Author Shoes Boutique Launch

Hi loves! Are you enjoying the sun as much as we are??

We're invited to a party! Author Shoes are opening a new store in sunny London town and we're popping along for the launch.  Themed as a 1920's speakeasy, we love a bit of vintage, it'll be so very glam - cocktails, nibbles, goody bags and best of all - lovely shoes.

See you there!

Tea & Crayons Heart :: Cats

Us Crayons are suckers for a cute picture - and they don't get much cuter than these. Cats are my absolute favourite. I could sit and watch them for hours, I just find them fascinating. There are three in my house alone, and some of the other crayons have cats of their own too. Love them!

Book Lust: What I Wore Today The Book by Gemma Correll

Gemma Correll's amazing new book, What I Wore Today is brand new and out this week, and we can't wait to get our hands on a copy! We love fashion illustration (of course) and drawing what we wear is one of our favourite things - Gemma has had it nailed for years and we always look forward to seeing her cute illustrations! We are definitely big fans <3

"Part sketchpad, part journal, this is a totally customizable record of how you like to dress, what you love to do and who you really are. Maybe you're a budding artist or a haute couture designer. Maybe you can't draw much more than a stick man, but gosh darn it, you like clothes and colouring in. Whoever you are, so long as you like having fun with fashion (the way you wear it), and have a pencil to hand, you can scribble, sketch and doodle your way through a year's worth of your best outfits, or biggest fashion mistakes. Whichever you're most proud of, really. So, explore your creative side and get in touch with the most fashionable person you know - you!

Gemma Correll is a freelance illustrator, coffee drinker and sometime ukulele player, based in deepest, darkest England. Gemma has exhibited her work in galleries and shop windows around the world and her artwork has been reproduced on everything from placemats to t-shirts to umbrellas. She has also had her work published in various books, annuals and magazines and has undertaken commissions to paint murals on the walls of pubs and shops in the UK and the USA. Gemma's artwork has been described as 'the perfect combination of ugly and cute', which she hopes is a compliment..."

Click here to buy a copy of What I Wore Today!

Gemma is also doing a giveaway of the book on her blog - leave a comment on her blog post for your chance to win. (The winners will be picked at random and will be announced on March 12th.)

Tea & Crayons Heart :: Comfy Cushions

I don't know about you lovelies, but it's been rainy and miserable here in Northampton today. The type of weather where you just want to stay indoors. Unfortunately I had prior engagements which meant I took a trip to Ikea. I love it there - just not on a weekend. Working in retail is enough to put you off weekend shopping for life. However I did come away with lots of homely interior ideas - one of which involves filling my dream house with lots of pretty, comfy cushions like those above. Gorgeous!
